This year Warrior Weekend VIII was a great success in fun and learning combined. The weekend was dedicated to our wonderful friend, the late Master Dave Simmons. The weekend started out with Friday's shooting instruction from Hanshi Raymond Montoya. Friday night, Dr. Greene taught his class on advanced basics and dynamics creation of power. By 9:00 we were all ready for some food and as usual, we gathered at the Claremore Chili's. The food was great and also the fellowship. Saturday morning started early with seminars from Senior Master Ted Sumner, Hanshi Dan Kennedy, Professor Ken Baker, Hanshi Raymond Montoya, Master Pat Monk and Master Jim Stewart. We also were joined Saturday by long time friend (family by choice) George Clarke, Bushidokan Black Belt, former Green Beret and noted full contact fighter. We were so pleased to have Katie Simmons Rock and Barb Simmons with us this year as we all gave honor to Master Dave Simmons. Dave was and always will be missed. Back to Index
